Position Summary

A respected healthcare practice is hiring a motivated and patient-focused Medical Assistant to support clinical staff in a busy outpatient environment. This role plays an important part in ensuring smooth daily operations by assisting providers, supporting patient flow, and maintaining high standards of care and professionalism. Key Responsibilities

  • Support providers during patient visits by assisting with clinical workflow and room readiness
  • Welcome and guide patients through the check-in and rooming process with professionalism and discretion
  • Collect and record patient information including medical history, current concerns, and relevant symptoms
  • Obtain and document vital signs, including manual blood pressure, temperature, pulse, height, and weight
  • Accurately enter clinical documentation and visit notes in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
  • Administer medications and immunizations in accordance with established guidelines and safety protocols
  • Perform point-of-care testing as needed and communicate results appropriately
  • Assist with wound care per provider direction
  • Maintain exam rooms and clinical workspaces to meet cleanliness, safety, and compliance expectations
  • Follow proper internal communication standards to ensure coordinated patient care


Qualifications & Skills

  • Prior experience working in a clinical or patient-care setting strongly preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential preferred

  • Strong customer service skills with a calm, respectful bedside manner
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to stay organized, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently under pressure
  • Demonstrated ability to work well independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Understanding of clinical procedures, anatomy/physiology, and medical documentation standards
  • Ability to remain composed and respond appropriately in urgent or emergency situations
  • Comfortable using electronic medical records, phone systems, email, and general computer applications
  • Willingness to take direction from clinical leadership while also showing initiative when needed
