We are excited to announce an opportunity for a General Manager at Field Guide, a distinguished lodge in Stowe, VT, where our design reflects the beauty of Vermont's natural environment, creating a unique and memorable experience for our guests. This role is ideal for a proactive leader who excels in enhancing team performance and fostering a positive work culture. The General Manager will oversee daily operations, focus on team development, and implement strategic initiatives to drive success. We seek a candidate who embodies the qualities of a coach, an adept decision-maker, and an effective problem-solver, ensuring our lodge continues to provide exceptional service and a welcoming atmosphere.
Compensation:
$75,000 - $80,000 yearly
Responsibilities:
- Monitor key metrics and financial performance, identifying opportunities for improvement
- Maintain high standards for customer satisfaction, quality, and service delivery
- Hire, train, and mentor department leaders and staff to foster growth and performance
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve company goals and drive profitability
- Collaborate with ownership/executive team on strategic planning and reporting
- Manage the food and beverage department to ensure profitability
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational skills and comfort managing complexity
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience
- Strong business acumen and understanding of financial principles
- Proficient in operational tools, systems, and performance metrics
- F&B knowledge: In-depth knowledge of food and beverage operations, including menu development, inventory, and cost management
