Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This position offers an opportunity to provide essential occupational therapy services to students in a K-12 school environment, supporting their development and academic success. The role involves delivering targeted interventions within the school setting and extending services through in-home sessions, allowing for a comprehensive approach to each students unique needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students across grades K-12, focusing on enhancing their functional abilities and participation in school activities.
- Conduct two 60-minute in-home therapy sessions per week in Andover to support students in their natural environments.
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy interventions to meet changing needs.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all relevant policies and regulations.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Licensed occupational therapist with experience in school-based therapy services.
- Ability to provide in-home therapy, demonstrating flexibility and strong interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of developmental and educational strategies appropriate for K-12 students.
- Effective communication skills to work collaboratively with families and school staff.
- Commitment to student-centered care and fostering independence.
Location:
- Based in Lowell, MA, with in-home visits conducted in Andover, MA.
