About the Opportunity

We are actively seeking two dedicated Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to join our supportive school team in the Northwood, New Hampshire area for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year. We have flexibility for both a full-time position and a position offering 3-4 days per week, with the option for both roles to be full-time if preferred by qualified candidates.

These positions offer a diverse and engaging caseload, providing comprehensive speech and language services to students from Pre-Kindergarten through 8th grade. The caseload of approximately 46 students includes a wide range of disability areas, from articulation and social skills development to supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder utilizing Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems.

We foster a collaborative environment where SLPs can significantly impact student success. One of the selected SLPs will have the unique responsibility of running weekly group sessions within PreK and Kindergarten classes, as well as providing services to students on 504 plans.

Please Note: While we are open to considering a Clinical Fellow (CF) or an SLPA, this is only if an accompanying, fully licensed SLP who can provide direct supervision is also available to fill the second position or oversee the CF/SLPA. Our primary need is for licensed SLPs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students in individual, small group, and classroom-based settings, addressing a broad spectrum of communication needs.
  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations, interpret results, and write compliant reports.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students from PK-8th grade.
  • For one SLP: Lead weekly group therapy sessions within Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten classrooms.
  • For one SLP: Service students identified with communication needs on 504 plans.
  • Collaborate effectively and consistently with teachers, special education staff, parents, and other multidisciplinary team members to integrate communication goals into the educational environment.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation for all services rendered.
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings, contributing expert clinical insights and recommendations.
  • Adapt therapy strategies, materials, and environments to suit diverse student needs, including those utilizing AAC.

Qualifications

  • Must hold a valid and active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) License in the state of New Hampshire.
  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is highly preferred.
  • Strong school-based experience preferred, particularly with PreK-8th grade populations and diverse disability areas (e.g., articulation, social skills, autism, AAC).

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • A genuine commitment to fostering inclusive educational environments and empowering students.
