Job Description: Med-Surg Tele RN (CRU – Job ID 154458)

Start Date:

• Must be able to start within the next 2 weeks
• Can start any day of the week based on unit need and education schedule
• License must be on file at the time of submission

Position Details:

• Unit: Acute Med-Surg Telemetry
• Shift: 3x12s
• Schedule: Every other weekend required
• Block scheduling is not permitted (no exceptions)

Clinical Skills Required:

• NG tube insertion
• Peripheral IV insertion
• Telemetry strip interpretation
  (All tasks performed at the bedside)

Certifications (Required):

• AHA BLS
• AHA ACLS
• NIHSS (must be completed before start date)
• Telemetry Certification preferred

Experience Requirements:

• 5 years of Med-Surg Tele experience OR
• 3 years of Telemetry experience
• Prior travel experience required
  • Must have completed 2 travel assignments in 300+ bed facilities
  • OR previous experience at any UVMHN acute care facility
• EPIC experience within the past 2 years is required and non-negotiable

Submission Requirements:

• IVS to offer (offers can be made Monday–Sunday)
• All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained
• Complete work history required (bed count, EMR used, facility type, etc.)

Additional Notes:

• Public transportation is not accessible in this area
• Reliable personal or rental vehicle is required
• Vehicle should be equipped with all-season or snow tires during November–April

Rate Adjustment Based on Distance:

• If candidate lives within 51–100 miles: $5 less Hourly
• If candidate lives within 50 miles: $10 less Hourly
  (Distance is measured as-the-crow-flies, not driving distance)
