Essential Functions

- Scheduling patient appointments online and by telephone

- Prepare patient charts including insurance verification

- Manage patient records

- Administrative duties including resolving problems and inquiries


Other Duties

Assist with the effective and efficient functioning of the practice including but not limited to, provide general clerical duties like photocopying, faxing, and filing; partake in activities to promote the growth of the practice; help with maintenance/cleaning of the office and perform other tasks as required.


Skills and Knowledge

- Able to perform general administrative duties with little or no supervision

- Must have knowledge of clerical and administrative procedure such as filing and record keeping

- Must have good computer skills and knowledge of relevant software preferred (ie OfficeMate, Eyefinity)

- Must be organized and able to multitask efficiently

- Must have good written and verbal communication skills


Requirements

- Excellent telephone etiquette and customer service skills

- Must be able to effectively work as an individual and in a team environment

- Experience working in a doctors office or medical setting is REQUIRED. Experience working in the optical field is preferred.
