Labor & Employment Attorney

Position Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and skilled Labor & Employment Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of labor laws and employment regulations, providing legal counsel to clients on various employment-related matters. This role focuses on dispute resolution, compliance, and advising clients on best practices in labor relations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide legal advice and representation to clients in labor and employment matters.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents, including briefs and pleadings.
  • Represent clients in arbitration and mediation proceedings.
  • Advise clients on compliance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation and negotiation of employment contracts.
  • Conduct workplace investigations related to employee grievances or misconduct.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with labor laws.
  • Prepare for and conduct trials or hearings on behalf of clients.
  • Develop strategies for dispute resolution and litigation management.
  • Advise on employee benefits and compensation issues.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in labor and employment law.
  • Strong understanding of dispute resolution and litigation processes.
  • Proven experience in advising clients on labor relations and compliance issues.
  • Excellent legal research and writing skills.
  • Strong negotiation and contract preparation skills.
  • Ability to conduct thorough workplace investigations.
  • Knowledge of employee benefits and HR policies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
