Position Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and skilled Labor & Employment Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of labor laws and employment regulations, providing legal counsel to clients on various employment-related matters. This role focuses on dispute resolution, compliance, and advising clients on best practices in labor relations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and representation to clients in labor and employment matters.
- Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents, including briefs and pleadings.
- Represent clients in arbitration and mediation proceedings.
- Advise clients on compliance with employment laws and regulations.
- Assist in the preparation and negotiation of employment contracts.
- Conduct workplace investigations related to employee grievances or misconduct.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with labor laws.
- Prepare for and conduct trials or hearings on behalf of clients.
- Develop strategies for dispute resolution and litigation management.
- Advise on employee benefits and compensation issues.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in labor and employment law.
- Strong understanding of dispute resolution and litigation processes.
- Proven experience in advising clients on labor relations and compliance issues.
- Excellent legal research and writing skills.
- Strong negotiation and contract preparation skills.
- Ability to conduct thorough workplace investigations.
- Knowledge of employee benefits and HR policies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
