Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A specialized opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist to support high school students in a unique educational program. The position focuses on delivering targeted services within the Compass High Program, designed for students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) or other learning differences. This role provides a collaborative, supportive environment emphasizing skill development for independence outside traditional classroom settings.
Location: Ludlow, MA
Duration: August 27, 2026 June 22, 2027 (26/27 School Year, estimated dates)
Hours: 32.5 hours per week
Setting: High school environment with a specialized caseload
Supervision: Includes oversight of an SLPA to enhance service delivery
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement individualized speech-language therapy plans for students with ASD and other learning differences.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to tailor interventions supporting student independence.
- Supervise and guide an SLPA, ensuring quality and consistency of therapeutic services.
- Maintain documentation and comply with state educational and licensing requirements.
- Participate in program planning aligned with the specialized Compass High Program goals.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP); CCC preferred.
- Completion of state-required credentials and licensure to practice in Massachusetts.
- Prior experience working in school settings, especially with adolescents.
- Experience supporting students with autism spectrum disorders or related learning differences.
- Strong collaborative and supervisory skills, especially in multidisciplinary environments.
