Job Description

As a Press Operator, you will be responsible for operating stamping presses to produce parts according to specifications. You will read and interpret blueprints or work orders to determine production requirements, inspect parts for quality to ensure they meet company standards, and maintain safety and cleanliness standards in your work area. Your role will also involve performing routine maintenance on equipment, reporting any issues to the supervisor, and collaborating with team members to achieve production goals while following all company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Operate stamping presses to produce parts according to specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints or work orders to determine production requirements.
  • Inspect parts for quality and ensure they meet company standards.
  • Maintain safety and cleanliness standards in the work area.
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment and report any issues to the supervisor.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures.

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience as a Press Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints or work orders.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform routine maintenance on equipment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training is a plus.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Basic math and measurement skills – ability to use calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools to ensure precision.
  • Problem-solving abilities – capable of identifying and resolving minor mechanical or quality issues during production.
  • Time management – able to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet production schedules.
  • Adaptability – comfortable learning new machines or processes as production needs evolve.
  • Physical stamina – able to stand for extended periods and lift materials as needed.
  • Computer literacy – familiarity with basic data entry or machine interface systems is a plus.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement – open to feedback and proactive in suggesting process enhancements.
  • Must be able to read and write in English.
  • Must be able to lift up to 20lbs.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Attleboro Falls, Massachusetts.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.
