This contract position is located in Derry, NH, for the entirety of the school year, allowing for meaningful engagement and impact on students' communication needs.
Qualifications:
- Certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC)
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Proven experience working in school settings, particularly with K-12 students
- Strong assessment and intervention skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Commitment to professional development and best practices in therapy
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students speech and language needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students
- Provide direct therapy services in accordance with IEP requirements
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other healthcare professionals to support student outcomes
- Monitor and document student progress and adjust therapy techniques as needed
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to a supportive school environment
