Job Description\n
American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN with a valid NH or compact license and strong critical care skills, including ideally CVICU experience.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
- Work in the Intensive Care Unit of a hospital setting
- Adult critical care patient population with a variety of complex cases
- 12-hour night shifts, three shifts per week, including every other weekend
- Floating required to ED, Stepdown, and Med Surg units with a modified assignment
- Use of advanced equipment such as balloon pumps, CRRT, Impella, ICP monitoring, Artic Sun/TTM, Alaris pumps, and rapid infuser
- Cerner EMR experience preferred but not required
- Responsible for providing intensive nursing care to critically ill adult patients
- Must be able to float to other acute care units as needed
- Weekly orientation provided
- Perm staff can return as travelers after a 12-month break in service
- 3 references required once committed, with at least 2 from leadership
- Local candidates are accepted but will be paid at a local rate if within a 50-mile radius

- Active NH or Compact RN license required at time of consideration; temporary licenses are not accepted
- Minimum of 2-3 years recent ICU experience, with preference for strong candidates who are self-starters and can work independently
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Preferred certifications include TNCC, PALS, and CCRN
- Experience with advanced critical care equipment required
- Recent references from unit leadership are required
- Will not consider first-time travelers
