Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Occupational Therapist position is available for the current school year at a K-12 school in Newport, VT. This onsite role offers the opportunity to provide essential occupational therapy services to students in a dynamic educational environment. The position is contract-based with the possibility for renewal, allowing for continuity and growth within the school community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized occupational therapy evaluations and interventions to students across K-12 grade levels.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student development and classroom integration.
- Develop and implement therapy goals aligned with students' educational plans.
- Document student progress and maintain compliance with school and regulatory standards.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to promote a holistic approach to student success.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license appropriate for school settings.
- Experience working in K-12 school environments, preferably providing direct OT services.
- Strong knowledge of school-based therapy practices and individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work full-time onsite with flexibility to meet student needs.
