This contract position offers an opportunity to provide speech-language pathology services within a K-12 school setting in Hyannis, MA. The role requires delivering specialized support to students ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade, focusing on pediatric speech and language development. This position operates on a school year schedule, with an expected commitment of 30-35 hours per week across five days.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, develop, and implement individualized speech therapy plans for students.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to enhance student communication skills.
- Track progress and maintain detailed records in compliance with school guidelines.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to student success planning.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) licensure in Massachusetts is required.
- Experience in pediatric speech therapy within school settings, including expertise in Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), is preferred.
- Proficiency in specialized speech-language services for school-aged children and knowledge of educational policies related to speech services.
- Strong communication and collaborative skills essential for working within multidisciplinary teams.
