A well-established community teaching hospital in scenic Western Massachusetts is seeking a Hospital Pharmacist to support its Surgical and Procedural Services. This role is ideal for a clinically driven pharmacist with hospital experience who is interested in perioperative care, workflow optimization, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

What You’ll Do

• Verify and dispense medications in surgical and procedural settings, including the OR and ambulatory surgery center
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, nursing, and pharmacy leadership during procedural rounds
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and support daily pharmacy workflow
• Partner with the Pharmacy Clinical Manager to improve efficiency, safety, and medication cost control
• Educate pharmacy staff and clinical teams on procedural medication practices
• Precept pharmacy students and residents
• Participate in clinical initiatives, quality improvement, and performance projects

Required Qualifications

• Pharm.D. from an accredited college of pharmacy
• Active Massachusetts Pharmacist License
• Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS) or ability to obtain within 4 years of hire
• Minimum 1 year of hospital clinical pharmacy experience or completion of a residency program
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications

• PGY1 or PGY2 residency training
• Experience or strong interest in surgical, perioperative, or procedural pharmacy

Schedule

• Full-time
• Every other weekend required
• Rotating holidays
• Shifts based on departmental needs; some evenings may be required
