Pharmacy Manager Massachusetts
13+ Week Contract-to-Hire | Long-Term Care | Immediate Start

Opportunity Overview:

Assignment Type: Contract-to-hire (13+ weeks)
Start Date: ASAP
Environment: Closed-door Long-Term Care (LTC) pharmacy
Prescription Volume: Approximately 600 scripts per day
Software: Frameworks (training provided if needed)

Role Summary:
We are seeking a capable and experienced Pharmacy Manager to lead pharmacy operations in a long-term care setting. This role requires a strong focus on compliance, operational efficiency, and team leadership.

Primary Responsibilities:

Direct and manage daily pharmacy workflow and clinical operations
Ensure full compliance with Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy regulations, as well as federal and local standards
Supervise pharmacists and technicians, providing coaching, performance feedback, and development
Manage medication inventory levels to reduce waste and ensure consistent availability
Develop and implement operational procedures to improve safety and service quality
Collaborate with providers, facilities, and third-party payers to resolve medication-related issues
Handle escalated patient or provider concerns with professionalism and urgency
Lead internal audits and maintain high standards of regulatory and safety compliance
Support continuous improvement initiatives across the pharmacy team

Schedule:

Monday through Friday, primarily daytime hours
Evening or weekend coverage may occasionally be required based on business needs

Qualifications:

Active, clear Massachusetts Pharmacist License
24 years of long-term care pharmacy experience
Proven background in pharmacy management or PIC role
Experience with Frameworks is a plus (not required)
