We are seeking a Diesel Technician to troubleshoot, diagnose, adjust, and repair equipment and vehicles, including electrical, brake, hydraulic, cooling, power steering systems, engines, and other standard electrical components. You will perform preventative and corrective maintenance and inspections independently, following manufacturer and customer requirements.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the workplace follows 5S principles by maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient environment.
- Independently carry out maintenance servicing on Ground Support Equipment (GSE) and/or Commercial Trucks following OEM specifications and company standards.
- Safely transport GSE and/or Commercial Trucks.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues, including basic electrical repairs, on GSE and/or Commercial Trucks.
- Utilize manuals to look up necessary repair information.
- Conduct thorough inspections to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
- Report and discuss any damage or work outside the prescribed scope with the supervisor.
- Perform refurbishing tasks, including fabrication, bodywork, painting, welding, and upholstery.
- Prioritize tasks effectively to maintain productivity and meet customer requirements.
- Perform on-call responsibilities as required, ensuring timely response to urgent operational needs.
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in preventive maintenance, diesel engine repair, and hydraulics.
- Experience with electrical systems, diagnosis, and ground support equipment.
- Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
- Proficiency in using mobile devices and relevant applications.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License required; CDL preferred but not required.
- Must provide personal hand tools; specialized tools and diagnostic equipment are supplied.

Work Environment
The work environment consists of a typical day where tasks are assigned via tablets, ranging from preventative maintenance to light repairs on diesel trucks, mainly at IAD. The team comprises 20 mechanics and operates under shifting hours to be determined. The workplace emphasizes safety and quality, providing a supportive environment for professional growth.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $62400.00 - $79040.00/yr.
They offer three different medical plans with UHC (1 HSA plan and two traditional plans), there is cost sharing as well, for Employee Only TCR covers 80% of the monthly premium, for EE+ 1 or EE + Family TCR covers 65%. Delta is through Delta Dental And Vision is through UHC It's a comprehensive benefits package including health, vision, and dental insurance, disability insurance, life insurance, a 401k plan, PTO, paid sickness leave, and the provision of all PPE. Also provides employees with long and short term disability and life insurance at no cost. Additional life insurance can also be purchased through Lincoln.
