GENERAL DESCRIPTION:


Electrical RF engineer capable of executing electrical design, analysis, product definition, and sustaining engineering tasks.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - include the following (other duties may be assigned):

  • Development of product designs and associated definition (e.g., overall layout/arrangement, waveguide and coaxial geometry, RF design details, etc.) in collaboration with other departments (i.e., Operations/producibility).
  • Performance of electrical/RF engineering analysis tasks as required.
  • Presentation of work for design reviews.
  • Support design projects through initial build and test as needed, including fixturing and identification of test equipment.
  • Support Operations/Quality in sustainment activities as required (i.e., MRB, ECN).
  • Support Sales as required (i.e., application engineering, preliminary design).


Requirements:

EDUCATION:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.


REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Proficient in electrical RF engineering first principles, calculations, and select microwave design/analysis tools a bonus (CST, Ansys HFSS, etc).
  • Proficiency in lab equipment usage (Oscilloscope, VNA, etc)
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Strong professional writing, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Rotating component (Slip Ring, Rotary Joint, etc) experience is a bonus
