Job DescriptionDescriptionThe YMCA of Greater Boston is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Part-Time Data Entry Clerk to support the Youth Development department. This role is essential in maintaining accurate records, entering participant and program data, and supporting data quality for youth programs across Greater Boston. The ideal candidate is reliable, efficient, and committed to the mission of the YMCA: building healthy spirit, mind, and body for all.
Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately input and update youth program data into internal/external databases and spreadsheets. Maintain confidentiality and integrity of participant and program information.
  • Assist in verifying the accuracy of data and identifying inconsistencies or errors.
  • Generate routine reports for internal use, audits, or compliance purposes.
  • Support program staff with data collection needs and documentation.
  • Help manage digital files, as needed.
  • Participate in regular check-ins with the Youth Development team.
  • Perform other administrative duties related to data tracking as assigned.


Skills, Knowledge & ExpertiseQualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
  • Previous experience in data entry, administration, or clerical support.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive).
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Strong communication and time management skills.
  • Commitment to the YMCA’s mission and values.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with youth development programs or nonprofit operations.
  • Experience with data systems such as School Mint, UpBup, Salesforce, or similar CRM platforms.


Working Conditions:

  • Part-time hours with flexible scheduling.
  • Remote/Hybrid depending on department needs.
