Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Deliver compassionate, expert care within a dynamic medical-surgical telemetry unit serving adult patients with diverse diagnoses including telemetry monitoring, post-operative orthopedic, urology, gastrointestinal cases, COPD, CHF, diabetes management, dementia, and end-of-life care. This contract opportunity offers the chance to apply your specialized nursing skills in a collaborative, team-oriented environment that values seamless patient and family-centered care.
Responsibilities include applying and interpreting cardiac telemetry rhythms, administering peripheral IVs and NG tubes, collaborating effectively with interdisciplinary staff including LPNs, LNAs, CNAs, respiratory therapists, and anesthesia teams, and managing patient care using advanced equipment such as Sigma IV pumps, CAAD PCA pumps, Kangaroo tube feed pumps, and Mindray cardiac monitors. Flexibility to float infrequently within similar units is expected, and adherence to professional appearance and documentation standards using Epic is required.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Registered Nurse license with at least 2 years clinical experience and 1 year in med-surg telemetry specialty
- Current BLS, ACLS, and telemetry certification
- Competency with telemetry rhythm interpretation and active patient response
- Experience with peripheral IV placement preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts with some weekend and holiday rotation, using an online scheduling system
- Strong communication and teamwork skills in a tight-knit unit culture
- Reliable transportation is preferred due to off-site housing options; free onsite parking available
