Join our growing team as a Field Service Technician—where your work has real impact, and your skills are valued and developed.
In this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and testing safety valves, actuators, and other automated valve systems both in the field and in our shop. You’ll make critical safety and quality decisions on the job while ensuring real-time documentation and customer satisfaction.
What You’ll Be Doing
Field & Shop Valve Service
- Perform teardown, repairs, assembly, calibration, and diagnostics of safety pressure relief valves (PRVs), isolation valves, and actuators.
- Ensure all service work meets ASME Code, NBIC, and customer-specific safety and quality requirements.
- Execute field jobs including rigging, scaffolding, welding, machining, and electrical support as needed.
- Maintain shop tools, equipment, trucks, and trailers in top condition.
Technical Evaluation & Repair
- Conduct pre-tests, disassembly, sandblasting, and cleaning; document evaluations using photos and videos.
- Determine root cause of valve failures and recommend repair strategies—parts, machining, welding, or replacement.
- Execute repair work using manuals, drawings, and specifications, documenting each step clearly.
- Perform final inspections, packaging, and shipping of all finished products.
Inventory & Tooling
- Identify and track needed parts, tools, and consumables for daily and field operations.
- Assist with inventory management including cycle counts and shelf stocking.
- Recommend upgrades to improve safety and efficiency in service operations.
Documentation
- Complete real-time digital documentation in the shop and field: work orders, inspection reports, quality and test data, time tracking, and customer reports.
- Ensure customer asset tagging and digital records are accurately managed.
- Participate in pre-job safety checklists and compliance reporting.
What You Bring
- Associate degree in a mechanical discipline or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively thoughout New England.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and curiosity to learn more.
- Ability to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends, and travel on short notice.
- Comfortable operating heavy equipment like forklifts and cranes (or willing to learn).
- Familiarity with rigging and safely handling awkward, heavy products.
- Strong communication skills—both written and verbal.
- Tech-savvy with Microsoft 365 and quick to pick up new software.
- Physically fit to handle standing, kneeling, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working in tight or elevated spaces.

The starting salary for this position will be between $20 and $35 per hour depending on experience level.
