• Unit Size: 32 beds, 13 rooms, daily census ~80\n
• Weekend Coverage: Required\n
• Orientation: 24 hours\n

\n\nER Registered Nurse Qualifications\n

\n
• Active and valid Massachusetts RN license (required for all Massachusetts nursing jobs)\n
• Minimum 18 months of recent Emergency Room nursing experience\n
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS (required for ER RN jobs)\n
• Experience with Epic charting system (Epic EMR)\n
• Community hospital experience required\n
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions allowed)\n
• Successful completion of pass/fail Tele exam during orientation (score ?80%)\n
• Compliance with all travel nurse documentation and education verification requirements\n

\n\nER Nurse Responsibilities\n

\n
• Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population\n
• Perform triage, assessment, and rapid intervention for acute medical and psychiatric emergencies\n
• Administer emergency medications, blood products, and manage IVs, arterial and central lines\n
• Interpret and respond to ABGs, dysrhythmias, and EKG/ECG findings\n
• Provide care for patients with multisystem organ dysfunction, respiratory distress, and trauma\n
• Apply splints, manage ventilated patients, and perform procedural sedation monitoring\n
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, and social services\n
• Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR\n
• Participate in orientation and required training modules\n
