SEEKING: A NEW TEAM MEMBER: PART -TIME SHIFT MECHANIC (W-2)
NEMO is pioneering a new model of mobile, on-demand bike repair (we ride eCargobikes). We come to
you—at your workplace, home, or wherever your bike is stranded. Our partners include Harvard University, Boston Children's Hospital, Longwood Collective, and several other large employers and TMAs across the region. Our goal is to keep our region’s bike commuters on the road.

What you'll do:
- Perform on-site repairs for commuters across our Service Area
- Ride our eCargo bikes to service locations throughout the day
- Provide friendly, non-judgmental service that gets people back on their bikes
- Track repairs via our ticketing system
- Communicate with customers via messaging, calls, and in-person
- Maintain active inventory of company-supplied parts on the eCargo shift bike
We're looking for:
- Bike mechanic experience required — shop or professional experience strongly preferred
- eBike and/or eCargo bike experience a plus (we'll train on specifics)
- Comfortable riding 10-20 miles per shift in urban traffic
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Good customer communication skills
- Someone who enjoys to taking ownership and solving problems
Physical requirements:
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs (eBikes and eCargo bikes are heavy)
- Comfortable standing, kneeling, and bending for extended periods
- Able to ride a bicycle 10-20 miles per shift in urban traffic and varying weather conditions
- Work is performed outdoors year-round — you'll be out in Boston summers and winters
Schedule & compensation:
- A base of 3 shifts/week (18hrs). During our busier months there will be opportunities for additional
- work (30+ hours a week).
- Morning shifts are 7AM-1PM. Afternoon shifts are 1PM-7PM. We operate Monday-Friday, but may
- expand to the weekends in the future.
- $21-$25/hour depending on experience
- Based out of our HQ at 375 Longwood Ave (Longwood Medical Area)
