Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist in Charge experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This position offers an opportunity to serve as a Pharmacist in Charge, overseeing pharmacy operations with a focus on compliance, quality service, and team leadership. The role is based in Massachusetts and operates on a contract to hire basis, requiring a start as soon as possible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations.
- Manage daily pharmacy functions including prescription dispensing, medication counseling, and patient care.
- Maintain accurate pharmacy records, manage inventory, and oversee controlled substance dispensing.
- Develop and implement policies to promote safe and efficient pharmacy operations.
- Provide leadership, training, and performance management to pharmacy staff.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and other stakeholders on medication-related issues.
- Resolve customer inquiries and complaints with excellent service.
- Stay informed on industry developments and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and conduct regular audits.
- Maintain a safe and clean workplace adhering to safety protocols.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Active Massachusetts Pharmacist license (clear and in good standing).
- 2-4+ years of experience in long-term care pharmacy.
- Recent pharmacy management experience, preferably within long-term care settings.
Schedule & Location:
- Monday through Friday, primarily day shifts; evening and weekend coverage as needed.
- Location: Quincy, MA.
