Must have completed Behavior Specialist / ABA Therapy training and have a minimum 1+ years Behavior Therapy experience. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time position is available for a 1:1 Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or Special Education teacher to support a high school student with developmental disabilities. This contract role spans the current school year and is based in Derry, NH.
Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized behavior support and specially designed instruction to a 21-year-old female student with developmental disabilities.
- Collaborate with two Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to implement behavior intervention plans and related services.
- Participate in transportation with the student, riding to and from home, community settings, and school.
- Monitor and support activities including lunch, activities of daily living (ADL) skills, vocational, and leisure activities.
- Conduct data collection and maintain accurate documentation of student progress.
- If serving as a BCBA, fulfill supervision requirements for RBT staff.
- Complete or demonstrate willingness to complete training in safety care, CPI, or CALM techniques.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years experience working in behavioral settings within schools.
- Certification as a BCBA or licensure as a Special Education teacher.
- Experience with behavior intervention and data collection methods.
- Ability to train and supervise RBT staff (for BCBA candidates).
- Willingness to participate in required training programs for student safety.
Schedule and Location:
- Full-time hours: 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM daily.
- The position includes accompanying the student during transportation and community outings.
- Based in a high school setting in Derry, NH.
