Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This contract position is based in Derry, NH, and offers competitive hourly pay ranging from $33.65 to $39.67.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate effective communication between hearing-impaired students and teachers or peers in classroom settings.
- Translate spoken language into sign language and vice versa to ensure comprehension for all parties involved.
- Assist during academic lessons, school events, and extracurricular activities to promote full student participation.
- Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to address students communication needs.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional ethics in all interpreting assignments.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with strong interpreting skills.
- Experience working with school-age children across K-12 grade levels, preferably in educational settings.
- Ability to adapt interpreting strategies to different learning environments and student needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, staff, and families.
