We are looking for a detail-oriented Legal Secretary / Receptionist to join a dynamic law firm in the Greater Quincy area. This position supports attorneys specializing in Workers' Compensation and Insurance Defense law, providing administrative and clerical assistance to ensure smooth daily operations. The role is fully on-site and offers an engaging opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced legal environment. This is a part-time direct hire position holding 34 hours per week.


Responsibilities:

• Manage attorney calendars, including scheduling appointments, hearings, and meetings.

• Prepare, edit, and transcribe legal documents and correspondence using dictation tools.

• Handle reception duties, including greeting visitors and managing phone calls professionally.

• Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.

• Assist in coordinating Workers' Compensation case-related tasks and deadlines.

• Conduct routine administrative tasks, such as filing, scanning, and handling mail.

• Maintain confidentiality while managing sensitive legal information.

• Communicate effectively with clients, attorneys, and insurance representatives as needed.

• Support the team in preparing for hearings and case reviews.

• Proven ability to manage calendars and schedules efficiently.
• Experience with dictation tools, such as a Dictaphone, and transcription of legal documents.
• Familiarity with Workers' Compensation law and legal terminology is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing case files.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and legal professionals.
• Proficiency in administrative tasks, including filing, scanning, and document management.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
