Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Paralegal to join our team on a contract basis in Fall River, Massachusetts. This role involves supporting civil litigation proceedings, particularly a high-stakes property dispute, and requires a strong background in trial preparation. The ideal candidate will excel in managing pre-trial tasks, building exhibits, and assisting both behind the scenes and in courtroom settings.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and organize billable hours efficiently to ensure accurate tracking and reporting.
• Maintain calendars and schedules to track deadlines and court dates.
• Prepare detailed trial binders and exhibits to support litigation proceedings.
• Collaborate with the treasury department to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
• Draft and finalize pre-trial memoranda tailored to specific case requirements.
• Assist in trial preparation, including exhibit building and courtroom support.
• Conduct thorough discovery processes to gather and analyze case-related information.
• Work closely with attorneys to develop strategies and ensure seamless trial execution.
• Provide behind-the-scenes and in-court support during trial proceedings.• Proven experience in civil litigation, particularly in trial preparation and courtroom support.
• Strong knowledge of discovery procedures and document management.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Proficiency in creating trial binders and exhibits.
• Familiarity with calendaring and scheduling tools for litigation purposes.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Background in handling property-related disputes is a plus.
