Role Description
This is a full-time, remote role for a Medical Coder specializing in Interventional Pain Medicine and Critical Care Services. The Medical Coder will be responsible for assigning appropriate medical codes to pain medicine procedures and critical care services, ensuring accuracy and compliance with coding guidelines. This role involves reviewing medical documentation, assigning ICD-10 codes, and communicating with healthcare providers to clarify information as needed.
Qualifications
- SPECIFIC Experience in Interventional Pain Medicine Medical Coding and Critical Care (no less than 5 years in the specialty or resume will not be considered)
- Proficiency in Medical Terminology
Skills and qualifications that would be beneficial include a strong attention to detail, ability to work independently, familiarity with Pain Medicine coding guidelines, and a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) certification. Certified Anesthesia and Pain Management Coder (CANPC) preferred.
