This role offers an opportunity to apply advanced stepdown nursing skills in a dynamic progressive care environment, focusing predominantly on Cardio-Thoracic and Vascular surgical patients. The position is based in Derry, NH, and is offered on a contract basis, ideal for experienced nurses who thrive in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive telemetry monitoring and progressive care nursing to a patient ratio of approximately 3-4:1.
- Manage advanced patient care equipment such as IV pumps, telemetry monitors, bladder scanners, chest tubes, and rapid transfusers.
- Administer specialty cardiac treatments, including cardiac drips like dobutamine, dopamine, and Levo.
- Perform or assist with specialized procedures, including pericardiocentesis with drain management, thoracentesis, and chest tube insertion.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EMR systems.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current RN licensure with experience in telemetry and progressive care units.
- Comfort and proficiency in managing chest tubes is essential.
- Preferred experience includes cardiac drip administration and external pacemaker usage.
- Required certifications: ACLS and BLS.
- Ability to adapt quickly while maintaining organizational skills.
Schedule:
- Every third weekend required; no on-call duties.
