Job DescriptionSalary: $50,000 - $60,000

InnerCity Weightlifting's (ICW) mission is to reduce gun violence by amplifying the voice and agency of people who have been most impacted by systemic racism and mass incarceration.

We partner with program participants through case management and careers in and beyond personal training. Individuals are elevated as experts in fitness and the social issues they've lived. ICW is a culture and community in which power dynamics are flipped, social capital is bridged, and new leaders emerge in the fight to combat long-standing inequities.


Position Overview: The Data Coordinator is responsible for working with leadership and other team members to define the metrics and underlying processes needed to set and meet our goals. They will collect and/or oversee the collection of data needed to track metrics and design and produce reports appropriate for our stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops a holistic understanding of ICWs mission, program stages and current goals. Drills down into each functional area (Training, Marketing, Sales, Operations, Finance, Development, Program Delivery) to understand existing metrics and reporting (including underlying systems).
  • Produces, contributes to and/or oversees publishing of all reports related to metrics/KPIs/Participant data, etc. Acts as a quality control point for reports produced by others.
  • Becomes a proficient user of data in all major systems used for tracking and reporting (currently includes QuickBooks, Salesforce, BambooHR, Bloomerang, MindBody, Fathom). Must be a proficient Excel user.
  • Learns and documents all current data collection processes. Recommends enhancements to or develops replacements for existing processes.
  • Recommends new metrics based on evolution of organizational goals. Develops processes and reporting for those metrics.
  • Owns and updates the ROI model and is responsible for supplying data for the Annual Report process and Development reporting
  • Establishes and follows a routine to collect Participant data from staff members and ensures that it is recorded in appropriate systems
  • Provides support to the Development team when needed, to ensure all deadlines are met
  • Consistently evaluates data tracking and tools used, making recommendations for necessary adjustments and improvements

Key Qualifications:

  • Interest in social justice and passionate about ICW mission
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office tools
  • Demonstrated experience in a professional/academic environment in production of quantitative reports and presentations
  • Experience with Google products, Quickbooks, Salesforce, Mindbody a plus
  • Excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Can cite examples of positive contributions as a teammate in various capacities
  • Willing and able to take feedback and adjust behavior as needed with a hunger for professional growth
