Compensation: $16/hr - $22/Hr (Based on experience)

Job Summary

The Certified Medical Assistant performs clinical support procedures under the direct supervision of the Office Nurse or Physician. This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by this employee. He or she will be required to follow any other instructions and to perform any other duties requested by his or her supervisor. The Medical Assistant should reflect, through personal appearance and attitudes, the professional nature of the office. Cleanliness, neatness, ability to handle stressful situations calmly, a caring nature, and genuine enjoyment of patients are required personal qualities of this position. Because of the nature of the work, i.e. care of patients, emotional stability is also required. Must be aware of the need for discretion and for keeping confidential all matters relating to the practice, its employees, and patients.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform clinical support procedures including blood draws, immunizations, injections, lab tests, and assisting with examinations.
  • Measure and document vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respiration).
  • Maintain clean, well-stocked exam rooms and assist patients with mobility and preparation for exams.
  • Handle patient communications, provide instructions, and assist with documentation, referrals, and medical records.
  • Support physicians and team members with nursing procedures and ensure excellent patient care in a confidential, professional manner.


Qualifications:

  • Completion of a formal Medical Assistant program or specialized training – Required
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a clinical medical setting – Required
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) – Required
  • BLS Certification – Required
  • Strong communication, emotional stability, flexibility, and a patient-first attitude
