Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Legal Assistant to join our team in Quincy, Massachusetts. In this role, you will provide essential support to litigation attorneys, ensuring smooth case management and trial preparation. Responsibilities:
• Organize exhibits, prepare trial binders, and manage witness lists to support attorneys in trial preparation.
• Coordinate and oversee document production for discovery, including reviewing, organizing, and cataloging case files.
• Draft, review, and respond to interrogatories with accuracy and timeliness.
• Maintain case calendars, track deadlines, and assist with subpoenas and filings to ensure efficient case management.
• Conduct legal research on case law and procedural matters to support litigation efforts.
• File documents electronically with Massachusetts state and federal courts using e-filing systems.
• Assist with managing multiple cases and deadlines, providing reliable support to attorneys.
• Utilize legal document management tools to streamline case organization and workflow.
• Communicate effectively with attorneys, clients, and court personnel to ensure smooth case progress.• Minimum of 3 years' experience as a litigation paralegal or legal assistant with expertise in trial preparation and discovery.
• Certification as a paralegal or equivalent education required; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Proficiency in legal research tools and eDiscovery platforms.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Familiarity with Massachusetts state and federal court filing processes.
• Skilled in using e-filing systems and legal document management software.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple cases.
