An opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide specialized services within a high school setting. This contract role focuses on supporting students in the Compass High Program, designed for high school students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other learning differences. The program emphasizes personalized, supportive education aimed at fostering independence beyond traditional classroom environments.
Location:
- Ludlow, Massachusetts
Assignment Details:
- Duration: July 6, 2026 August 7, 2026 (with potential consideration for the 2026-2027 school year)
- Schedule: 15-20 hours per week, spread over 2-3 days
- Caseload: High school students, with a need for experience providing AAC services (AAC evaluations not required)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language pathology services tailored to students with ASD and diverse learning needs
- Implement individual therapy plans focusing on communication goals and functional independence
- Collaborate with educators and support staff within the specialized Compass High Program framework
- Utilize augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) strategies effectively to support student progress
Qualifications:
- Valid state certification/licensure for Speech-Language Pathology in a school setting
- Experience working with high school students, particularly those with Autism Spectrum Disorders or similar learning differences
- Proficiency in AAC service delivery and understanding of related communication tools
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work within a multidisciplinary educational team
