Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Physical Therapist opportunity is available within a K-12 school setting in Springfield, MA. This contract position is aligned with the current school year schedule and offers a Monday through Friday workweek, with hours from 7:45 a.m. to 3:20 p.m. The therapist will support a caseload of approximately 7-8 students, providing essential therapeutic services to enhance student mobility, function, and participation in school activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, and implement physical therapy interventions tailored to individual student needs.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and monitor goals.
- Document student progress and modify treatment plans accordingly.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional insights regarding student physical capabilities.
- Maintain compliance with all relevant regulations and school policies.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Physical Therapy licensure with certification appropriate for school-based practice.
- Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably within a school environment serving K-12 students.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interface with students, families, and educational staff.
- Ability to manage a caseload of 7-8 students efficiently while delivering high-quality therapeutic services.
