Summary

Master Bicycle Mechanic – Landry’s Bicycles
About the Position
The Master Bicycle Mechanic atLandry’s Bicyclesplays a key role in delivering exceptional service and ensuring every bike leaves the shop performing at its best. This position requires advanced technical ability, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to Landry’s customer-first values. As a senior member of the service team, the Master Mechanic handles complex repairs, supports overall shop productivity, helps train new staff and helps create a positive, collaborative work environment.

Duties

  • Complete the majority of the team’s advanced service work and major repairs.
  • Perform repairs efficiently, accurately, and to Landry’s high quality standards.
  • Build strong relationships with riders by clearly explaining service needs and recommendations.
  • Use professional-grade tools and follow industry-best practices for all repairs and maintenance.
  • Mentor, train, and support junior mechanics to strengthen the team’s technical skills.
  • Contribute to a clean, organized, and safety-focused service department.



Requirements

  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills and an approachable, customer-friendly demeanor.
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for diagnosing and solving mechanical issues.
  • Enthusiasm for learning and staying current with new bicycle technologies and service techniques.
  • 5+ years professional bicycle mechanic experience
  • Advanced proficiency in all major systems (hydraulic brakes, drivetrain, wheel truing, bearing systems)
  • Experience with electronic shifting (Shimano Di2, SRAM AXS)
  • Ability to diagnose and repair e-bikes (Bosch, Shimano, Specialized, etc.)
  • Strong diagnostic skills and ability to work independently
  • Ability to explain repairs and recommendations clearly to customers
  • High standards for safety, QC, and workflow efficiency



Nice To Haves

  • Certification(s): Shimano STEC, SRAM STU, Bosch, UBI/BBI, or similar
  • Advanced wheel building
  • Advanced suspension service experience (damper service, full overhauls)
  • Experience mentoring or training other mechanics
