Job DescriptionDescription:

Summary Perform visual and dimensional checks on materials, assemblies, tube details, components and finished goods to validate conformance to blue prints and instructions by customers, and to company operating procedures by performing the following duties.


  • Candidates are required to possess a basic understanding of manufacturing and quality processes (Internal Procedures, ISO 9001, etc.). Must be able to use various precision equipment including (but not limited to) Micrometers, Calipers, Fixtures, Thread Gages etc.
  • Basic blueprint reading & specifications/technical data
  • Good mechanical aptitude
  • Basic understating of manufacturing processes (machined components, hose, tube, bending, welding etc.)
  • Ability to use basic hand measuring tools
  • Elementary level shop math
  • Maintains inspection reports/logs as required
  • Meets productivity standards (as defined by management),
  • Maintains and promotes a clean, FOD free, and organized work area
  • Safety-minded and adheres to all company policies and practices safe work habits
  • Has a can-do attitude. Approaches others in a tactful and respectful manner.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
  • Consistently, regularly and predictably at work and on time
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

High School Diploma/Equivalent with at least one year of previous manufacturing/technical experience.


Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.


Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.


Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.


Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Inventory software and Manufacturing software.
