THE OPPORTUNITY
Work with the operations and engineering teams to develop and implement manufacturing processes, procedures and test equipment to introduce new products as well as maintain and improve legacy products. Champion continuous improvement efforts by identifying and implementing new and improved manufacturing methods driving increased yields, throughput, and manufacturability. Ensure that process and procedures comply with lSO Standards. On an as needed basis, provide management oversight of the manufacturing operators.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Responsible for the development and improvement of manufacturing methods, process documentation, workflows and training operations staff within Galvion.
  • Responsible for the transfer of manufacturing processes, tools, know-how and test equipment to contract manufacturing partners.
  • Leads the return materials authorization (RMA) process to determine root cause of failures and corrective actions required.
  • Resolves equipment malfunctions, troubleshoots process problems, and organizes and implement preventative maintenance procedures.
  • Assist in continuous improvement programs within and across the site via Lean principles, concepts and tools to drive breakthrough performance in material flow and cost.
  • Accountable for providing regular updates and follow-up activities to monitor the progress of achievement.
  • Actively participate in project and product review meetings and utilize process knowledge to provide recommendations for the manufacturability of the product.
  • Utilize technical and operational background to determine list of requirements for the successful transition of new products to manufacturing production.
  • Assist in determining make/buy decisions.
  • Work cross-functionally with other departments on a regular basis to achieve organizational goals.
  • As needed, direct the day-to-day activities of the assembly and test staff to meet production goals.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Eight+ years of related experience
  • Strong analytical background required, data driven decision making
  • Ability to understand and work from Engineering Drawings and Product Specs
  • Practical experience following formal engineering change control and configuration management procedures
  • Ability to prioritize competing priorities in a fast paced environment
  • Experience with C#, Python, or other modern programming language a plus
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Systems a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Outlook and Access
