Hours: Full-time, exempt, 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm or as needed

Salary: $60,465.60 yearly/exempt

What is The Arc of Opportunity’s Day Habilitation Program?

The Arc’s Community Day Habilitation Program is a Mass Health funded, therapy-based program for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, offering Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech and Language Support, Nursing, and Behavioral Supports. The goal of the program is to foster an environment where individuals can work toward increased independence and self-sufficiency, as we offer a holistic approach to their support and care.

What does the Program Director of Day Habilitation do?

The Program Director of Day Habilitation oversees the day-to-day operations and functions of the program, including the preparation of an activity schedule, communication, and the monitoring and completion of required documentation. This position provides direct supervision to two Case Managers and by extension oversight of the Direct Support Professionals. The Program Director of Day Habilitation monitors compliance, implements policies and procedures, oversees member services, and may assist in completing various internal and external reports as requested or required. This position works closely with the Division Director of Day Habilitation and Family Supports, and the management team, in the planning, management, and coordination of Agency goals. This person must present a positive image of the organization in all interactions with participants, funders, and internal & external stakeholders, as well as function as a strong leader within the program.


Qualifications and Skills:

· Must pass background checks and pre-employment screenings including a CORI.

· Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicles meeting state requirements.

· Must have supervisory experience.

· Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities including autism spectrum disorder and Acquired Brain injury preferred.

· Functional and situational reasoning to follow policy, exercise sound judgment, prioritize multiple tasks, manage crisis, and problem solve to promote motivation, team building, accountability, coaching/counseling of staff and leadership within the scope of the position.

· Cross-functional communication skills which convey clear direction, desired results and vision to direct reports, individuals/families served, and government agencies.

· Physical demands may include frequent standing, pushing, pulling, walking, stooping, lifting, and/or twisting.
