Go-Kart Mechanic
Location: Apex Entertainment Marlborough
Job Type: Full-Time (Flexible Scheduling Required)
Overview:
Apex Entertainment is looking for a skilled and motivated Go-Kart Mechanic to join our team. In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing our fleet of go-karts and associated equipment to ensure a safe and top-performing guest experience. The ideal candidate is self-driven, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance, performance checks, and repairs on go-karts and track equipment.

Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.

Ensure all karts and equipment are operating at peak performance.

Keep detailed records of repairs, inspections, and parts inventory.

Follow and maintain preventative maintenance schedules (weekly, monthly, annually).

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Ensure safety procedures are followed by all team members in the mechanic and operations areas.

Manage inventory and ordering of parts, tools, and supplies as needed.

Support track staff with operational needs and safety checks.

Read and interpret technical manuals and diagnostic reports.
Qualifications:

Must be at least 18 years old.

High school diploma or GED required.

Technical training in automotive repair or 6+ months of relevant experience preferred.

Experience in go-kart or motorcycle repair is a plus.

Proficient with multi-meters and basic electrical diagnostics (e.g., testing continuity, fuses, batteries).

Ability to read and understand technical and service manuals.

Must have a valid driver's license or reliable transportation.

Flexible availability, including nights and weekends.
Physical Requirements:

Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods (over 2/3 of the shift).

Regular lifting and physical activity required.
