- Location: Boston, MA 02111 (Massachusetts nursing jobs)\n
- Setting: Outpatient Same Day Surgery PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit)\n
- Shift: 11:00 AM – 9:30 PM, 10-hour day shifts\n
- Hours: 40 hours per week (guaranteed)\n
- Duration: 13-week contract with potential extension\n
- Start Date: ASAP – Immediate start available\n
- Call: 1 weekend every 6 weeks\n
- Charting System: Cerner Soarian\n
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2100 - $2250\n
\n\nPACU RN Qualifications\n
- \n
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts or compact state\n
- Minimum 1 year of recent PACU, ICU, or acute care RN experience\n
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications (American Heart Association preferred)\n
- Experience with orthopedic, neuro, general, and ENT surgical cases preferred\n
- Pediatric and trauma nursing experience highly desirable\n
- Ability to start immediately and commit to the full 13-week assignment\n
\n\nPACU Nurse Responsibilities\n

- Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia in a fast-paced outpatient surgery setting\n
- Monitor and assess post-surgical patient status, responding promptly to changes in condition\n
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes\n
- Care for a diverse patient population, including ortho, neuro, general, ENT, pediatric, and trauma cases\n
- Accurately document patient care using Cerner Soarian electronic health record system\n
- Participate in scheduled call rotation as required\n
