Portside Liquors Chatham is a community-focused liquor retailer committed to providing exceptional customer service, a clean and welcoming shopping experience, and a wide selection of beer, wine, and spirits. Were looking for a dependable and friendly Liquor Store Associate to join our team.
We have part time and full time Year round positions available.
The Liquor Store Associate is responsible for delivering excellent customer service, maintaining store cleanliness, stocking shelves, handling transactions, and ensuring compliance with all alcohol regulations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people and thrives in a fast-paced retail environment. We also welcome retirees!
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Verify customer age in accordance with state alcohol laws
- Operate POS system, handle cash, and complete sales transactions accurately
- Restock shelves, rotate products, and ensure proper product displays
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment
- Assist with inventory management and receiving deliveries
- Provide product knowledge and recommendations when appropriate
- Follow all safety and compliance procedures related to alcohol sales
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Must have a Valid drivers' license
- Previous retail or customer service experience preferred (Salary will reflect experience)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 4050 lbs
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
- Basic math and computer skills
