Laser Marker Operator
Position Summary
The Laser Marker Operator will operate laser marking machine and laser mark instruments per customers’ prints and requirements. This is a 2nd shift position.
Principle Responsibilities
- Starts up and shuts down laser marking machines.
- Follows program notes to build and install fixturing.
- Maintains proper line clearance for job.
- Completes jobs per standard procedures.
- Performs 100% visual inspection of markings on each piece.
- Measures any dimensions using proper equipment to confirm program is correct (i.e., caliper, optical comparator, gauging) and adjusts as needed.
- Confirms proper focus to achieve desired markings.
- Initials, dates, and confirms piece count is correct.
- Works independently and maintains productivity and quality.
- Reads and interprets prints or schematics.
Qualification Requirements
Credentials/Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowing how to use measurement tools
- Prefer the ability to read blue prints
- Math aptitude with the ability to add and subtract decimals.
- Prefer computer skills
- Prefer Microsoft Office knowledge.
- Prefer Drawing Editor software experience.
- Prefer working knowledge of working with inspection equipment (calipers, mics, comparators)
