About You!
- You are a technology enthusiast with 3-5 years help desk support experience with an MSP and/or an EDU environment who enjoys technical problem solving while curious and open minded to learn new technology.
- We are seeking technical support specialists for positions in the Metro Boston areas.
- You enjoy working independently and are disciplined and self-motivated to resolve technical issues with customers in a timely and effective manner.
- You enjoy being part of a championship technical team and are willing to be a technical resource and expert for other members of the team.
- You are comfortable with routine helpdesk tasks such as virus removal, print/save issues, migrations, etc. And open and experienced to work on more complex projects.

About the Position
Summary
You will be supporting people and technology in a portfolio of schools, who themselves rely on Macs, Windows, handhelds, networks, cloud services, and servers. Although our office is in Framingham, you will not be tied to a desk. Some days you may visit a school in metro west to address network or server issues. Other days you may be on site helping to on-board a school in Newton, or covering the help desk at one of our Boston-area independent schools. From time to time you will work solo; other days you will be joined by other team members.
Technical Skills
- 3-5+ years of relevant experience (time in an academic setting and/or MSP a plus)
- Ability and willingness to support endpoints and infrastructure regardless of the OS (Windows v. macOS), hardware (Dell v. HP), hypervisor (VMware v. Hyper-V), etc.
- Administration of commonly used SaaS solutions (O365, Gsuite, AWS/Azure, etc.)
- Experience supporting network hardware (wireless networks, switches, routers, firewalls) and related services from the edge to the ISP.
- Familiarity with concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPN, iSCSI, RAID, etc.
- Administration of current Microsoft Windows Server environments including: Active Directory, Exchange, file services, print services, group policy, etc. SQL experience is a plus, but not required.
- Administration of current virtualization platforms (ideally VMware) and understanding of related best practices (backups, HA, DR, etc.)
- Experience as an admin with Google or MS 365 is a plus.
