Senior/ Principal Electrical Engineer

Location: Burlington, MA - HYBRID

Salary: $120k-$160k Depending on Experience

Requirements: BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering, 5+ years exp in Electrical Hardware Design, Firmware, Battery Management Systems, Embedded Firmware, Analog, PCB

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior / Principal Electrical Engineer to lead innovative projects in the design and development of electrical systems for cutting-edge technologies. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in PCB design and hardware engineering, along with a passion for driving technical excellence and mentoring junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and testing of electrical systems and PCBs for various applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and specifications.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers and project teams.
  • Conduct circuit design and analysis to ensure reliability and performance of electrical systems.
  • Oversee the integration of power systems and control systems into product designs.
  • Utilize simulation tools like Matlab and Simulink for modeling and analysis.
  • Participate in research and development initiatives to innovate new technologies and solutions.
  • Manage project timelines and deliverables, ensuring adherence to budgets and schedules.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues during the development and production phases.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, such as IEC 60601.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years exp in Electrical HW Design
  • Strong background in Battery Management Systems (BMS)
  • Experience with circuit design, power systems, and control systems is preferred.
  • Familiarity with embedded systems, signal processing, and firmware development is a plus.
  • Proficient in programming languages such as Python, C, and C++.
  • Experience with Linux OS and related tools.
  • Knowledge of Altium, Cadence, LTSpice, and other design software is desirable.
  • Demonstrated project management experience with strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
