Job Description

Our client a growing manufacturing facility in Billerica, MA is seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to support day-to-day operations by maintaining production equipment, utilities, and the physical plant. This role is hands-on, fast-paced, and critical to ensuring equipment reliability and minimal downtime.

Location: Billerica, MA

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00am-4:30pm or 5:00am-3:30pm

Compensation: $62,400-$83,200 annually (DOE)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and repair electrical, mechanical, compressed gas, water, and refrigeration systems to ensure uninterrupted service.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair production machinery and support equipment.
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on production equipment.
  • Document maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment modifications.
  • Disassemble equipment to identify faults and replace defective components.
  • Coordinate activities of internal maintenance personnel and external vendors/contractors.
  • Manage inventories of materials, tools, and replacement parts.
  • Support facility layout changes and equipment installations.
  • Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and utility providers.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout maintenance areas.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance experience.
  • Strong mechanical maintenance background within a manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and DEP regulations related to plant operations.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and mechanical/electrical drawings.
  • Experience in a CNC machine shop is a plus.
