Busy law firm in Beverly MA specializing in estate planning and estate administration seeks experienced paralegal.
This is a full-time, M-F position. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two plus years’ experience in drafting estate planning documents, but we are willing to train the right candidate. We are looking for an individual who is willing to learn and is pursuing a long-term role in a new and challenging position. Experience in probate or real estate a plus.
What You’ll Do:
- Input client information into drafting software, generate draft estate planning documents
- Make edits to raw drafts based on in-house style and best practices
- Synthesize attorney notes and feedback into custom language, tailoring each document to the specific client’s needs
- Maintain and update list of current estate planning projects
- Follow up with clients as needed
- Communicate with attorney and clients to assure data integrity and accuracy
- Keep files and calendars organized and up to date·
- Compile estate planning portfolios for clients who have completed their estate plan
- Occasional administrative tasks: phone follow-ups, email correspondence with clients, in-office organization, etc.
- Assist with probate filings and estate administration when needed
What We’re Looking For:
- Basic knowledge of Massachusetts Trust law and/or familiarity with estate planning concepts
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Strong language and communication skills
- Proficiency using MS Office Suite
- A self-starter who takes initiative and enjoys working with a team
- HotDocs experience a plus but will train.
