Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A leave contract opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to support elementary students in a school setting located in Quincy, MA. This role involves providing specialized occupational therapy services to a caseload of 17 students ranging from Pre-K to 5th grade.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy interventions tailored to the developmental needs of elementary students.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and healthcare providers to support student progress.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and student progress.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Ensure compliance with school policies and occupational therapy best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience as an Occupational Therapist (OT) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in school settings.
  • Familiarity with therapy services in healthcare and home health environments is a plus.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage a caseload effectively within a school environment.
  • Credentials to provide occupational therapy services in an educational setting.

Position Details:

  • Contract duration: Mid to late January through April.
  • Schedule: 3 days per week, 7 hours per day.
  • Location: Elementary school environment in Quincy, MA.

This part-time position covers a maternity leave, providing valuable support during a critical period. Qualified candidates with occupational therapy experience in schools are encouraged to apply to contribute to the success of young learners during this contract term.
