Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery Travel Position
Location: Lawrence, MA
Job Type: Travel Contract

Shift: 4x8s Days
Pay: $2,502/week
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to join a healthcare facility in Lawrence, MA on a 13-week travel assignment. The RN will provide comprehensive care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery. The ideal candidate is experienced in obstetric nursing, adaptable in fast-paced environments, and committed to patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to mothers and newborns throughout labor, delivery, and recovery.
- Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs, contractions, and overall labor progression.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered, including epidurals and oxytocin.
- Assist physicians and midwives with deliveries and emergency interventions.
- Educate mothers and families on the labor process, postpartum care, and newborn care.
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the medical record.
- Maintain compliance with infection control, safety, and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Current and valid RN license in Massachusetts (or compact eligibility).
- Minimum 1–2 years of recent labor and delivery nursing experience in an acute care setting.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); ACLS preferred.
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
- Compassionate and adaptable approach to patient care.
- COVID-19 vaccine and recent tuberculosis test.
