Position Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled CNC Programmer to join a premier manufacturer specializing in mission-critical components for high-compliance industries, including medical and defense. This role is designed for a technical expert who enjoys the challenge of complex geometries and wants to make a tangible impact on high-stakes projects. You will be responsible for taking projects from initial order analysis through to successful execution on the shop floor.
Key Responsibilities
- Advanced Programming: Utilize MasterCAM to develop precise 2D and 3D programs for 4 and 5-axis machining centers.
- Operational Strategy: Analyze new job requirements to determine the optimal machining path, tooling needs, and fixturing strategies.
- Technical Documentation: Create comprehensive setup sheets and work instructions to ensure consistency and precision across production shifts.
- On-Floor Troubleshooting: Provide real-time support on the CNC floor, refining programs and resolving technical hurdles to minimize downtime.
- Collaborative Engineering: Partner with the manufacturing engineering team to innovate machining processes and improve overall cycle efficiency.
- Safety & Standards: Maintain an uncompromising focus on safety and precision, ensuring all output meets rigorous quality certifications.
Qualifications
- Professional Experience: Extensive background (5+ years) in CNC programming and milling, with a specific mastery of 4 and 5-axis applications.
- Software Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in MasterCAM is required.
- Technical Acumen: Ability to interpret intricate blueprints and a deep understanding of high-speed machining, material properties, and specialized tooling.
- Environment: Proven success in fast-paced, high-precision environments (experience with ISO or AS9100 standards is a significant advantage).
