Job DescriptionJob Title: Industrial Controls TechJob Description

Perform machine maintenance activities to ensure that equipment and facilities are safe and reliable to a high-performance standard. The ideal candidate has prior field maintenance experience with CNC machines and will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical problems by interpreting machine error messages and information obtained from operators.

Pay Rate: $28-35

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical problems by interpreting machine error messages and information obtained from operators.
  • Proactively recognize machine issues and provide preventive maintenance in partnership with machine operators.
  • Maintain oil/grease levels; air, hydraulic, hydrostatic, and coolant systems.
  • Respond with a sense of urgency to equipment issues to minimize downtime.
  • Actively troubleshoot CNC machines and controls issues (electrical/electronic, hardware/software) to resume operation as soon as possible.
  • Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on automated systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, and conveyors.
  • Diagnose and repair control and mechanical system issues.
  • Program and troubleshoot PLCs.

Essential Skills

  • Industrial maintenance experience
  • Hydraulics/pneumatics experience
  • Strong mechanical skills
  • PLC troubleshooting
  • PLC programming
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with CNC maintenance
  • Experience with automation systems
  • Fanuc and other relevant PLCs

Work Environment

Work schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM. The facility is a massive 350,000 square foot space that is easy to navigate with clear signage. With 350 total employees, safety is a top priority, and many measures are in place to maintain a safe working environment. All required PPE is provided and reimbursed, including steel toe boots.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Shrewsbury, Massachusetts.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
